Introduction

Government Institute of Information Technology, Rawalpindi City is proud of being the first ever Information Technology Institute of TEVTA by the Punjab Government, which is being managed/supervised by District Manager/Zonal Manager (North), TEVTA Rawalpindi.

The Institute Building was completed on 29/11/2006 and academic activities / session was started on 08/01/2007 with CCA, AutoCAD, A+ Hardware, Spoken English classes. Later on its first session (2007-2008) of regular classes i.e. Diploma in Information Technology (DIT) & Diploma in Computer Hardware Engineering (DCHE) one year started with 52 + 10 = 62 students (Male/Female) from September 2007. The Institute won/gained among top ten positions in annual examination from Punjab Board of Technical Education (PBTE), Lahore as a leading Institute in the whole Punjab. Hundreds of students have been enrolled and imparted instructions in Computer literacy up till now.

The four well-furnished air conditioned Computer Laboratories are equipped with latest Computers. The institute is the remarkable contribution/services of TEVTA, Govt. of Punjab for people of Rawalpindi District.

The institute is offering its Certificates and Diplomas in coordination with

  • Trade Testing Board (TTB), Lahore
  • City & Guilds, United Kingdom (UK)

Mission Statement

The mission of the Institute is to provide highly skilled professionals to local and International market with Information Technology specialized manpower, which can think, visualize and act as experts of tomorrows corporate world.

It is one and earliest progressive Institution of Information Technology for males/females under the supervision of District and Zonal office of TEVTA and Government of Punjab.

The idea behind developing computer centre is to educate students in the field of Information Technology and to prepare them for the anticipated challenges of the century.
