The City & Guilds Group includes City & Guilds, ILM (the Institute of Leadership & Management, which provides management qualifications, learning materials and membership services), City & Guilds NPTC (which offers land-based qualifications and membership services), City & Guilds HAB (the Hospitality Awarding Body), and City & Guilds Centre for Skills Development. City & Guilds also manages the Engineering Council Examinations on behalf of the Engineering Council.
A Level 2 user can make use of predefined or commonly used IT tools for activities that are at times non-routine or unfamiliar, they will be able to devise solutions to use IT tools to improve productivity. Any aspect that is unfamiliar will require support and advice from other people. An activity will typically be ‘non-routine or unfamiliar’ because:
Qualification structure To achieve the Level 2 Award for IT Users, learners must gain 10 credits from any units with a minimum of 7 credits at Level 2. To achieve the Level 2 Certificate for IT Users, learners must gain 16 credits of which 4 credits must come from the mandatory unit and a minimum of 6 credits from the optional units at Level 2 or above plus 6 credits from any optional units available. To achieve the Level 2 Diploma for IT Users, learners must gain 38 credits of which 4 credits must come from the mandatory unit and a minimum of 17 credits from the optional units at Level 2 or above plus 17 credits from any optional units available. To achieve the Level 2 Diploma in IT User Skills - Apprenticeship, learners must gain 38 credits of which 16 credits must come from the mandatory units and a minimum of 5 credits from the optional units at Level 2 or above plus 17 credits from any optional units available.
